Tartan Trader has been awarded the prestigious award of The Guild of Master Craftsmen for engraving. We are the only engraver in the whole of Scotland to receive the nomination and award, and one of the very few in the entire UK.


The Guild of Master Craftsmen supports and promotes excellence. Its rigorous selection procedure ensures the highest standards. Wherever you see the Guild’s Coat of Arms guarantees skill, integrity, quality and service.


Extensive promotion by the Guild and its' members has enhanced this reputation and increased public awareness of the Guild as a symbol of quality and service.


Qualifying for the award takes years of hard work and requires a proven record of excellent customer service. We underwent the following rigorous selection process before being awarded membership:


1. A premises visit from an experienced Guild Assessor, who established our engraving qualifications and technical skill. The Assessor also recorded information about us and our recently completed work


2. A survey of five recent customers using a confidential questionnaire about the standard of our craftsmanship and service


3. A panel of judges from the Guild’s Council of Management consider all of the evidence gathered and our trading history, customer service procedures and standards of workmanship


We will officially receive our award at a Guild of Mastercraftsmen ceremeony later this year.
