There are several ways to submit your order:
When submitting your order you are confirming that you wish to purchase the specified goods and consenting to Tartan Trader using your personal details for the purpose of supplying goods. This may include passing details to third parties on your behalf e.g. couriers and subcontractors.
Tartan Trader is not obliged to supply the goods on your order until we have confirmed acceptance of your order. This is when the contract is made. You do not own the goods you have ordered until payment has been received in full.
All prices and offers are subject to change and availability.
Due to the diversity of products that we supply, all stated prices on our website are exclusive of delivery and insurance charges.
We aim to deliver within 3-7 working days of your order and payment being received, however it may take up to 21 days for your order to arrive during times of peak demand e.g. Christmas.
Tartan Trader will take all reasonable steps to deliver your order within the time indicated. However, we do not accept any liability in respect of any failure to deliver your goods within this timescale, or on any particular day or dates.
All orders are sent 1st Class by Royal Mail or another reputable carrier. Should you require a faster delivery method, please contact us for assistance.
Next day delivery must be ordered and payment received before 12 noon for delivery on the following day.
Royal Mail 1st Class and carrier deliveries aim for next day delivery, but please allow 1 - 2 working days for delivery.

Orders are dispatched by Royal Mail 1st Class Airmail.
In our experience, deliveries to Europe average 3-5 days. Outside Europe, delivery times average 6-8 days. At peak periods (such as Christmas) delivery times may increase slightly.

Title to any goods supplied to the customer by Tartan Trader shall remain the property of Tartan Trader until paid for in full.
Title to the goods passes to you immediately before your consignment is delivered to our nominated carrier(s) for dispatch. If you wish to collect the goods personally, please e-mail us so that we can make the necessary arrangements.
If you find that the goods you receive are defective or damaged, please follow this procedure to return goods:
Please inform us in writing or by email within 14 days of the delivery of your goods that you are unhappy with them, and provide the following information -
If you suspect that the damage may have been caused by the courier/postal service, please retain the packaging for inspection.
Once we have received notification from you that you wish to return your goods, we will contact you issue you with a GRN (Goods Return Number). Please mark this clearly on the return packaging so that we can identify and process your return more quickly.

You must return the goods to us at your own cost in an unused and re-saleable condition. We advise that you make sure that the goods are adequately insured before posting and that you obtain proof of postage, as Tartan Trader will not be held liable for any loss of goods posted.
Once your goods have been received, we will refund the total sum of money paid by you for the goods within 30 days of receiving the cancellation in writing or by email from you. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
In the event that the goods that you have returned are found to be faulty, we will also refund the postage costs incurred by returning the goods to us. If your goods are not found to be faulty, we will not reimburse your return postage costs.
Please do not send back faulty goods without contacting us first. Tartan Trader will not compensate you for the cost of returning goods unless you have a GRN. In order to be allocated a GRN, you must get in touch with our Customer Services team.
In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with any aspect of your shopping experience with Tartan Trader, please inform us as soon as possible by any of the methods mentioned in our Contact Us section and we will do our best to resolve this as soon as possible.
In respect of a complaint Tartan Trader will:
If for any reason we are unable to deal with your complaint within these time limits, we will notify you with an explanation for the delay and the date by which your complaint will be attended to.
Throughout any correspondence with us, your comments, feedback or complaints with be kept in the strictest of confidence.
If you are still not satisfied after the completion of our complaints process, Tartan Trader agrees to abide by the advice of our local Trading Standards Office.
This does not affect your statutory rights.
