Hearts vs. Celtic update
Newsfeed regulars will know that Tartan Trader advertised at the Tynecastle Stadium during the SPL match between third place Hearts and top of the table Celtic.
Celtic had a bright start with a goal from Jan Vennegoor in the first 30 seconds of the match, but failed to build on it.
Bruno Aguiar's spectacular free-kick earned Hearts an impressive 1-1 draw with the leaders, helping Rangers to creep to just one point behind their Old Firm rivals with a 3-1 win over Motherwell.
Both Hearts and Celtic will be in action again this weekend, the last full weekend of the Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League season. Hearts will take on Falkirk away from home, while Celtic will play Aberdeen at home.
Falkirk vs. Rangers update
Regular Tartan Trader news readers will know that we advertised at the Falkirk versus Rangers match last month.
Rangers made it a quadruple over Falkirk this season, with a 1-0 win. Kris Boyd scored for Rangers just nine minutes in.
The win gave a boost to Rangers’ title challenge, helping them to move within one point of current league leaders Celtic.
Falkirk on the other hand are trailing at the bottom of the Clydesdale Bank Premier league table and looking likely to be relegated.
Scotland vs. Albania U21s update
You might remember that we advertised at the Scotland versus Albania international U21s match at the beginning of this month.
Scotland took the match in a seven-goal extravaganza, following the first leg qualifier that ended with a 1-0 win for the boys in blue.
David Goodwillie opened the scoring for Scotland ten minutes before half time. Scotland’s second came from Aberdeen striker Chris Maguire early in the second half.
Andrew Shinnie tapped in the third before Albania hit back with a goal from Jahmir Hyka. Jamie Murphy made it 4-1 with a stunning header, before Albania tried to come back again with a goal from Emilian Vila.
Stephen McGinn grabbed the seventh and final goal of the match with a cheeky back-heel to make it a convincing win on the night for Scotland.
